Money And Christianity.

Is It Wrong For A Christian To Be Rich?

I highly recommend money because it is a commodity that is pretty difficult to live without! And contrary to what many Christians believe, money is definitely not the root of all evil.

First Timothy 6:10 says:

Image result for currency"For the LOVE of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray, and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs" (Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary, emphasis mine).

You see, money is a necessary part of a Christian life and is certainly not intrinsically bad or good. It’s one of the many "things" in the life of a Christian that the Lord actually owns, but allows us to use as His stewards. When we properly utilize the "things" that He places at our disposal, and maintain the proper attitude toward them, He very often multiplies them. It is when we adopt the wrong attitude toward "things" that we get in trouble. If we allow ourselves to develop a love an inordinate desire for these "things", it (the love the inordinate desire) becomes sinful. Again, money and other material things are not sinful in and of themselves. Actually, they are quite nice and if we behave ourselves and practice good stewardship God just might see fit to allow us to use some of His! But let me hasten to say that there are no guarantees. The "prosperity gospel" that some have been preaching is as phony and bogus as a three dollar bill. It is a fact that God promised the Old Testament Jew financial and spiritual prosperity, but both were predicated upon their obedience to Him. Nowhere will you find anything resembling this promised to Christians this side of heaven. As a matter of fact, we are plainly told that our walk with Christ will be hard and the closer we try to walk with Him, the rougher it will get. Christianity is absolutely unique among the religions of the world in this respect.

Image result for nairaEternity is forever (!) and it would be foolish beyond our ability to express it to sacrifice any of the treasures of heaven for the pitiful "things" of this earth. But this is precisely what many Christians routinely do when they allow themselves to be enamored with material things. I am convinced that our sovereign God assigns each of us to our relative station in life our financial and material status, along with the correlated abilities (or lack of abilities) pertinent to that position. Let’s face it not all of us have the intellect or the ability to amass wealth and handle it properly. Some do and praise God for their being able to enjoy the fruits of their labors. Other brethren do the best they can, but spend their entire lives struggling to feed and clothe themselves. True happiness and spiritual contentment are experienced when we realize what our respective niche in life is and then just do the best that we can as long as we can! Where we get into trouble is when we are not satisfied with God’s provision and covet more than He knows is best for us. Ambition and the desire for advancement are only natural and not wrong as long as we do not force the issue. If God wants us to advance in our jobs and make more money, He will see to it that these things happen.
As He opens the "doors" we will be able to walk through them. Unfortunately, many Christians do not understand this and have bloody noses from trying to walk through closed doors! This is underscored by the words of Christ in Luke 12:15: "And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more; for a man’s life does not consist and is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance, or that which is over and above his needs" (Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary).

The underlying spiritual danger associated with money and possessions is that they may easily become idols in our lives. I trust you realize that an idol does not have to be some sort of figure made of wood or stone sitting in a temple, surrounded by worshippers. No, an idol is anything that we allow to come between our God and us! He demands our total allegiance, just as a husband and wife demand it of each other. When our love and attention is drawn to anything or anyone other than God, He is offended and we should understand why.

Image result for naira treeThe apostle Paul had quite a bit to say about money and material things, and in his first letter to Timothy he cautions Christians and particularly preachers against the misuse of them. In 1 Timothy 6 we start our reading in the middle of verse 5 and continue through verse 9, then to verse 17:
" men who are corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, who imagine that godliness or righteousness is a source of profit a money-making business, a means of livelihood. From such withdraw. [And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness, accompanied with contentment that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency is great and abundant gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world; But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content (satisfied). But those who crave to be rich, fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing."

Things A Youth Can Do For God.

Image result for YouthsSome of the world's greatest accomplishments have been done by young men and women. Alexander the Great became king before he was thirty years old. Some of the great works of Shelley, Byron, Keats, Chopin, and Mozart were composed when they were teenagers. Hitler and Mussolini built their power on the dedication and energy of young people. Today, Communists make their strongest sales pitch to youth, because they know of the influence and dedication of the young. Now, much of the mission work of the church is being done by young adults. And the church needs consecrated young people. Times are perilous and our cause is the greatest that the world has ever known. The very hope of the human race lies in wise youth committed to high principles. Young people need the church - they need Christ. Those who are indifferent to the way of the Lord are inviting sorrow on their lives and souls. Jesus says to young and old alike, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me" (Mark 8:34).
Here are ten things that you can do to serve God and gain life's greatest blessing:

(1) OBEY THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST

Christ commands us to believe in Him (John 8:24), to repent of our sins (Acts 2:38), to confess His name (Matthew 10:32-33), and to be baptized into Him for the remission of our sins (Romans 6:3-6). Study Tape # 46, "How Can a Man Be justified With God?", for further information about this most important step. Every young person who can understand these commands should obey them. There is nothing you will ever do that will mean so much to you in coming years.

(2) KEEP THYSELF PURE (I Timothy 5:22)

If you like a real challenge, the challenge of conquering our own will is life's greatest, for sin is easy. Besides the personal satisfaction that moral purity brings, it brings also the blessings of God (Matthew 5:8).

True greatness 14,es in spiritual things. Emphasize prayer, study, and righteousness, and they will bless you. "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul"' (Matthew 16:26). Those who follow Christ learn how to do good unto all men, even their enemies. Their lives radiate the beauty of his way (Matthew 5:14-16). Christianity brings peace with God, peace with others, and peace within.

(4) LEAD OTHERS TO CHRIST

Christ has commanded His disciples to take the gospel to everyone. You can be a soul-winner. And nothing enlarges one's faith and spiritual capacity like teaching the lost.

(5) GET A CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

You CAN get a Christian education if you really want to. Your doing so will help you in a thousand ways. A Christian college education will help you to be the best and most productive citizen possible in God's kingdom.

(6) PREPARE YOURSELF FOR A DECENT PROFESSION

The New Testament strongly commands honest and honorable work (I Thessalonians 4:11,12). The Christian life is not that of a parasites but one of industry and service.

(7) BUILD A CHRISTIAN HOME

Next to obeying the gospel of Christ, the greatest favor you will ever do yourself is to build a Christian home. When you marry, MARRY A CHRISTIAN.

(8) PREPARE FOR CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP

The church needs every competent leader and teacher that it can get. Develop your talents for Christian leadership by the sincere and zealous practice of spiritual responsibilities. Be USEFUL in the Lord's service.

(9) ENCOURAGE AND HELP OTHERS

Everyone bears a burden. When we help bear other's burdens and encourage them in Christ's walk, we fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).

(10) BE FAITHFUL THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE

Image result for Youths for Christ(Read Revelations 2:10) Many perils will beset your pathway. Temptations and disappointments came to the Lord and they will also come to you. And all who live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer some persecution (2 Timothy 3:12), but God calls us to a life that man cannot destroy and to treasures that are eternal. He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your faith and it will keep you. There is great potential in your life. May God bless you as you develop it in His service.

The Anointing of ease for Release.

It was a beautiful Sunday evening as saints trooped in ready for the first teaching service of the month with hope and joy in the Holy Ghost. The meeting started at 2:30 p.m on the 5th of July 2015, first Praise and worship went to heaven, by blessing the Name of the Lord with a Scripture; Psalms 67:2 and then, prompting the congregation to pray for an empowerment by the Holy Ghost; for grace to pray and supplicate.

The congregation was charged and challenged by the Worship Team to seek for a genuine encounter with God every time they come before God’s Presence. Then songs like “We worship You in the spirit, I enter into the Holy of hollies, I love You forever and Holy is the Lamb” accompanied this charge.

At 3:17 p.m, Home builders came on stage blasting in tongues, then admonishing the congregation to continually thirst and hunger for more of the Holy Ghost in their lives. she quoted ''For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed and my blessing upon thine offspring), then she gave the congregation a warm welcome.

The Builders World Network  Worship Team graced the stage at 3:28p.m with a beautiful song beckoning on the Holy Spirit to “Rain on us, Breathe on us and send Your Spirit down on us”.

This ushered Pastor Ifeanyi Kalunta Evergreat to the stage at 3:45p.m as he urged the congregation to bless the Lord by lifting up their hands as an act of worship, then declaring; “Lord, we wait on You for fire”. The man of God, Pastor Ifeanyi Kalunta Evergreat charged the congregation to cry for a deeper dimension in the spirit and the mighty outpouring of the Spirit that brings genuine change.

Hitherto, he encouraged the crowd to pray for a personal visitation of the rain as every individual in the crowd represented a sphere of influence. Then he gave a prophecy for the house: “You will step into a dimension of grace that will alter your physical appearance”.

The Title of the message was “The anointing of ease for release”. These are highlights of the message:

Mantles do not leave the earth realm. This means that all powers manifested by God’s Generals are still available in the earth realm but must be impacted by another human hand.
The hallmark of an Apostolic Ministry is not just tied to miracles but the ability to receive a revelation concerning a people, understand it and communicate it effectively to God’s people.
We are God's extended hands.

Your life is under lease, don't allow your life rentage to be in vain.
creation is as a result of imagination
Lack of vision breeds confusion
deviation is a sign of frustration
There are spiritual laws that govern the operation of God’s Kingdom the same way natural laws govern the earth. The inability to discern these spiritual laws result in casualties.
Not everything is known by an average Christian. There are secrets that have been archived in the deep things of God and only those who seek to know them shall the knowledge be revealed. And as ambassadors of Christ, God desires to reveal these secrets unto us.

Prayers: At the end he led the saints into prayers in this order:

-Father, let the ministry of the Holy Ghost become strong in my life.
-Lord, whatever needs to change in my life, let it be changed in Jesus Name. I desire a new level in my life; Help me to believe in you.
-Lord, in-print in me the revelation that my words are powerful.
